Vinny Fiorillo

Affectionately known as the "Skipper" Vinny Fiorillo managed the 701ers to an 11-3 mark in 2010 and their 3rd straight playoff appearance . . . Skip carries a lifetime .322 average into the 2011 season, including a personal best .545 in 2003 . . . Vinny's 14 hits in 2009 was his second high career best . . . his 11 rbis was the third time he had double digit ribbys . . . Vinny's 131 career hits places him 7th on the all time Post list . . .


Playing a duel role as manager and second baseman, Vinny Fiorillo does both better than anyone else in the Class AA League. After a 4 year drought, The Skipper led the Post to their second straight playoff appearance. Vinny enjoyed an excellent 2009 after hitting .341 with 14 hits and 11 rbis.

Coach Vinny is a career .324 hitter, who hit a personal best .545 in 2003, including a .630 on base average.

While excelling at second base, Vinny has excelled in the dugout also, posting a career 114-70 regular season mark in his 12 years as the 701 skipper. His record including a ring from the 2002 Championship season, when the Post went 9-3 during the regular season, and roared through the post season, winning all three games, including a two game sweep over DePalmas for the Class AA title
