One of the best TV comedies ever was Everybody Loves Raymond starring Ray Romano. Well, the Post 701 softball team has it's own version of the hit show in Ray Fyfe. Everybody Loves Ray Fyfe after the veteran star made the last out for the second straight game and gets to be beer delivery boy next Thursday vs. Cameo. In an ironic twist, Ray was called into emergency duty when Skipper Vinny Fiorillo went down with a bruised forearm. With the last out hanging in the balance, fellow Greybeards Marty Tambasco and Charlie Archinal both singled setting the stage for Ray. Mr. Fyfe promptly grounded out to short as the rally cries of Everybody Loves Raymond could be heard at the Lynch #2 diamond.

Ray suffered a torn quad muscle in game 9 which sidelined him for the remainder of the season. This 12 year vet is a valuable key in the locker room and a fan favorite. His healthy return in 2010 can only mean good things for a successful season.
