Known for his outstanding control and low era, Charlie Archinal continued that
trend in 2011. As he approaches his early 50's Charlie amassed his second most innings pitched in his
Post career with 81.6 innings pitched. His most IP came in his 10-2 season in 2001 when the threw 84
innings and pitched to an era of 2.08 while walking only seven compared to the eight base on balls this
past season. In addition to his team leading 6 win season, the sixth time he has gotten 6 or more
wins in a season, Charlie was one of only six 701 hitters with a plus .300 average.
Other than Zo Fiorillo, Archinal was the only other hitter to have a triple-double
season with 10 runs, 13 hits and 10 rbis. His 13 hits was good for 4th on the team and his 10
rbis was tied for second. Charlie was second in walks with a personal best of nine base on balls and
his .500 on base average was the 9th time in his career he has reached that magic number. For both his
pitching and hitting accomplishments, Charlie (for the 3rd time) was named the Post Player of the Year.
